Sunday, September 22nd Devlog

Yesterday was quite the amount of work. I worked for about 10 hours and 30 minutes yesterday.

I created a monthly devlog posted on the YouTube channel and got one person to view the website! First time I've had someone read the blog posts besides myself so thanks for checking out the game!

Besides that, I worked on properly importing the blocks and removed the beveled blocks due to sizing issues and I didn't think they looked as good as they could so I removed it. I think for now I'm okay with the current style of the game but things may change in the future.

I added a properly working color palette management system where you can add, modify, and delete color palettes. This allows you to customize your builds to your heart's content. I'm glad I got this done and I also did some bug fixes. I created a much better-looking controls UI and I started working on adding more environment settings to the environments tab.

I plan to finish the functionality today. I will be doing a re-design and re-write of the block palette system to make it look nicer also I figured there is no reason to have a block palette management system so I'll be removing it and instead plan to add a prefab system in the future for players to copy and paste anything they want to re-use in the future like a tree or a house.

Today I will create the tool models and the tools UI. Re-write the painting system to not rely on if the player has a current block and I will work on some UI improvements. I also will add an ability to toggle the player's UI for screenshots and other use cases.
