Mosaic Odyssey V11 is out!
Here is the list of changes/additions:
Changes:
Fixed the bug in the terrain generation that caused giant canyons and valleys. They still can appear but are a lot more realistic and not insanely broken.
Disabled the day and night cycle due to constant rendering bugs. I will eventually fix these.
Removed the basic camera in Sandbox mode and expanded the sandbox area.
Changed the theme and font of the main menu.
Additions:
Terrain now has collisions in regular mode.
Added a player character that can move around and look around. Will be adding a third-person camera soon.
Added settings to the settings menu. You can change your graphical settings including view distance for machines that are either better than mine or worse. These settings are saved and loaded from the settings text file.
Those are the main additions to the newest version! I am currently working on adding tons of UI and soon you will be able to build in the game! I also want to add sloped blocks soon.
By the end of September, you should have a basic sandbox mode finished where you can build to your heart's content. I plan to start releasing tons of social media content about the game after I have the basics of the sandbox mode done and I have nice graphics for the game.
I need to make textures for the blocks and also a decent game logo. These will all be coming! I know at this moment no one is reading this but I'm sure for anyone who is interested in this game it will be cool to see how progress went and if anyone makes a history video on YouTube about this game they have tons of info!
