Did some more work on the game yesterday and I was planning on doing more work today but due to sleep issues and other obligations I will be mainly focusing on marketing today instead but I do have a few things to share though.
I will be improving the painting, building, and delete system by allowing for continuous painting, deleting, and building. Instead of having to click every time to paint or delete you can now hold left mouse and move your mouse. Same goes for building holding down enter places blocks that can be placed automatically.
I have added a lot more environment settings and a proper color palette UI and I'm not sure I've discussed this yet. I think I did yesterday. That being said the environments look super cool!
I've been doing a ton of learning on the computer graphics side of things to work on improvements to the performance of the game and that includes the terrain generation. I will be doing another over haul to the player UI with the introduction of tools instead of buttons you have to click for the different modes. Certain UI elements will only appear depending on what tool you have equipped.
One bug is that the collision shapes for anything other than blocks is not sized properly when loading things. The size isn't exactly the issue here but rather the shape. All collisions are boxes when they should be different depending on the block shape so I'll need to fix that.
